About Me

Hi! I’m Laura, the founder of Serenity Home Staging. My journey into home staging began with realising the impact staging had on my own home. I soon had friends coming to me for advice about preparing their homes for sale, and after helping one friend stage her property—using only a combination of her belongings and my own—she received a valuation £15k higher than the original valuation from the same agent and went on to receive multiple offers over the asking price after less than two weeks on the market. After that, I realised not only did I love staging, but it really works! I then went on to study interior design, and through my desire to combine my creativity with my passion for helping people, Serenity Home Staging was born. My previous career in sustainability means I am keen to keep waste and purchasing to a minimum, so I work with homeowners' own belongings where possible to reduce waste and transport of furniture with its associated costs and CO2 emissions, keeping staging affordable, practical, and sustainable, whilst still being impactful. When I’m not staging homes, you might find me hunting for unique décor treasures in vintage shops, being dragged around York by my lead-pulling dog, or enjoying quality time with family and friends

What's included: Half day home consultation going room to room, with advice on your “ideal buyer”, kerb appeal, repairs, layouts, decluttering (what to pack away, what to keep out), décor, colour schemes and how to present your house for market to ensure the best valuation and top offers. Follow up personalised Action Plan; taking into account budget, DIY skills and time available, including: “To do” list of tasks and proposed timescales Shopping list for any finishing touches Step-by-step written instructions on how to style your accessories for estate agent photos Ongoing support via phone until marketed/sold

Pre-Photo Styling - From £600

Ideal for getting those perfect “show home” marketing photos. This package includes the “market ready consultation” above after which I will come back to your home for a full day before the listing photos are taken by your agent, bringing in extra accessories and styling items, I will arrange the final touches to create the perfect marketing photos.

Soft Furnishing Rental From £50

Is choosing the finishing touches not your thing? I offer soft furnishing packages - items such as curtains, cushions, rugs and accessories, carefully selected to work with your existing décor from as little as £50 per room for 6 weeks rental - ask for a no-obligation quote as part of your pre-market consultation
